It is estimated that more than 80% of the children in our province in need of day care are being cared for in a private independent home day care setting.
As the people who have chosen a career in the field of day care, the child care provider is an integral part of the work force. It is therefore very important to increase the quality of care through education and information.
The Halton Child Care Providers Association (HCCPA), founded in 1993, is a non profit organization dedicated to bringing caregivers, parents, children and our community together.
Child care rules changed on August 31, 2015, when the Child Care and Early Years Act, 2014, came into effect. This document answers key questions about how these changes will affect licensed and unlicensed child care providers in Ontario. http://www.ontario.ca/document/child-care-rules-child-care-and-early-years-act

Child Care Providers
"Having been a daycare provider in Oakville for 21 years, I wish I had been a part of HCCPA since the beginning. The support to providers through training and group meetings and the integrity of this association who strive to provide quality home daycare to the community is invaluable."
