At Nature Discovery forest school we encourage the development of children's emotional and physical growth through outdoor play, activities and exploration. We believe that children learn best by being hands-on, by being allowed the time and repetition that they need to master a skill and by being given the space and guidance they need to succeed. The philosophy of forest school is to inspire the children through positive experiences and participation in achievable tasks in a woodland environment. When we are in our inside environment we practice the Montessori method. Montessori views the child as one who is naturally eager for knowledge and capable of initiating learning in a supportive, thoughtfully prepared learning environment. At Nature Discovery blend these two approaches by bringing nature inside and integrating it into our Montessori environment . Using natural materials inside and gives Nature Discovery a unique approach to "whole child" learning.
